Marc A. Ross is a geostrategist and the founder of Caracal Global, a fractional Chief Geopolitical Officer service for Fortune 1000 companies and private equity firms that need CGO-level intelligence without the full-time hire. With experience spanning Fortune 100 companies, trade associations, and national political campaigns in the US and UK, Ross helps senior executives understand what's moving geopolitically, what it signals, and what to do about it.

Ross brings rare depth to the fractional CGO role. His government relations work spans global climate change, national energy policy, intellectual property, technology antitrust and competition, artificial intelligence, the NATO 50th Anniversary Summit, and US-China commercial relations. That breadth — across policy, commerce, and great-power competition — is what Caracal Global clients rely on when geopolitical volatility moves from the headlines into their boardrooms.

His executive communications work includes serving as spokesperson and primary media liaison for engagements with global outlets, reporters, columnists, editors, producers, and thought leaders across the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Asia. Ross has worked with C-suite executives, board members, and senior trade association leadership on key messaging, preparation of government testimony, media training, issue briefs, economic white papers, and CEO thought leadership.

Ross served as Communications Director of the US-China Business Council, America's foremost trade association for US companies that trade with or invest in China, and as Communications Director of the Center for AI Policy, which advocated for responsible artificial intelligence policy and addressed the unique risks of frontier AI. He also served as an adjunct professor at George Washington University, teaching a course on globalization and American politics.

He is the founder and curator of Brigadoon, a global network of founders and thought leaders shaping commerce and culture.

Ross holds an MBA with a focus on global commerce from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

A frequent speaker, commentator, and writer on global commerce and geopolitical strategy, Ross is an opinion contributor to The Hill and PR Week. He has been a guest speaker at Wisconsin's School of Business, Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University, the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, Utah State's Huntsman School of Business, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
